SENIOR RESOURCES
Young people in our community are facing increasing challenges, including housing instability, mental health crises, and family conflict. Many youth experiencing homelessness are not visibly unsheltered, instead they are couch surfing or living in unstable situations that put them at risk of long-term hardship.
Programs for Youth
Medicare Counseling
Understanding Medicare can be overwhelming—and without the right support, many older adults risk missing out on critical benefits. HRDC’s Medicare Counseling program helps individuals navigate the complexities of Medicare, including changes in coverage, rising premiums, and out-of-pocket costs. Without guidance, some may lose access to assistance, pay more for prescriptions, or forgo essential medications—leading to serious health consequences and increased emergency care.
RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program)
Our Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) connects adults age 55 and older with meaningful volunteer opportunities across the community. Whether you have a few hours a month or time each week, RSVP offers flexible ways to stay active, social, and engaged—while giving back to causes you care about. Volunteers are matched with a wide range of local organizations, not just HRDC programs, based on their interests and availability.

Homemaker Program
Our Homemaker Program provides homemaking and respite services to qualifying individuals 60 and older at no cost. These services allow older community members to live safely and independently in their own home. The program gives particular attention to individuals with lowest income. Funding is provided through grants, private foundations, and local donations. Services available in Gallatin and Park counties.
Mental Health Counseling (Senior Reach)
Our mental health counseling supports the well-being, independence and dignity of older adults by educating the community, providing behavioral health services (counseling) and connecting older adults to community resources. We partner with two private practice LCSW/therapists to provide counseling services. This program has proven highly successful in decreasing depression, anxiety, feelings of hopelessness and social isolation among seniors.
