Gallatin Valley Urban Transportation District Launches July 1st - Join Us to Celebrate!

Bozeman, MT – After many years of planning, preparation, and community support, the Gallatin Valley Urban Transportation District (GVUTD) is ready to roll. On July 1, 2025, GVUTD will officially take the reins of our region’s beloved Streamline bus service, previously operated by HRDC.

To mark this important milestone, we invite you to a celebration in honor of the official launch of the GVUTD and to recognize the leadership that helped guide Streamline through this historic transition.

Celebrate Transit. Celebrate Community. Food and beverages provided!

This transition reflects HRDC’s long-standing commitment to community-focused solutions, and ensures that public transit remains a cornerstone of equity, access, and sustainability in our region. The GVUTD was created to provide long-term stability and expanded investment in transit, supported by overwhelming voter approval in 2023.

While management is shifting, Streamline riders can expect a seamless experience, including the same friendly drivers, familiar schedules, and zero-fare service.

“No matter who manages the service, our priority remains the same: providing safe, reliable, and affordable transportation that benefits us all.”-Sunshine Ross, Transportation Director

Join us as we celebrate this exciting moment and thank the partners, voters, and riders who made it possible.
