Bozeman's own TYDE sponsored skate park is located in Kirk park. Built by Gallatin County 4-H sk8 club (the first like it in the nation!), membership fees are only $15 a year.
The Community Mediation Center works with Bozeman Public schools to train a cadre of diverse students to mediate student disputes referred to the program. Rather than report to the principal's office, students in conflict can choose to talk out their differences with the help of trained "peer mediators." Students are empowered to solve problems on their own before they escalate to violence.
