Dear HRDC Weatherization Team,

The improvements made for my home are truly awesome. The new doors are my favorite. I shed a few tears quietly when I saw the installed doors functioning. That was a huge expense that needed to be done but I could not have afforded it. This was the improvement that made the most impact on the look of my home. Thank you so much.

Once the cool weather comes, I will be able to judge how the blown-in insulation has improved the energy efficiency. I sure had a lot of questions about that step from my neighbors. It is pretty cool how it is down and how meticulous that crew was.

I saw the furnace innards being removed and cleaned of the previous owner’s nicotine residue. I had no idea that residue was hiding in there. Having the opportunity to see how easily it was cleaned away by the furnace specialist was truly a treat. Thank you for that as I will be able to tell my neighbors that it can be done.

I won’t need to worry about the water heater breaking down on me as you have installed a new one. In addition, I am hoping my curtains won’t freeze to the living room windows this winter. The new storm windows have already made a difference. I had plastic duct-taped over the exterior of those windows all last winter and now, I think I can skip that step!

I have appreciated very much what the weatherization team has done for my home. I wanted to thank each person for their professionalism and kindness towards me.
